Why Oh Why Do I Have So Many "Great" Ideas?

It will be cute when it's done....but IT'S TAKING FOREVER!!!! Ok...it's only been two days, but it feels like...a lifetime. My green paint was doing something 'wonky' and was making me fussy. I hate being fussy(especially about green. Did you know I love green?). I'll post the finished wall...that is, if you're still reading my blog and are still alive 50 years from now. By the way, that's a paintbrush in my mouth, not a ciggie..but I felt like I could have used one (if they weren't so nasty and didn't blacken your innards.)

Ah! It's looking great! Can't wait to see. I can relate to your paint woes, there's nothing worse than wonky paint. What was it this time? Too thin of coverage? It wasn't the dreaded...CHUNKS...was it?!

It was a combination of being too thin and then it was like...sticky, or something. I left my paint cup out with plastic wrap over it overnight and this afternoon it was perfect. I guess it needed to age or ripen or something! Thank goodness it wasn't chunks...I would have thrown in the towel.

You asked why you have so many great ideas?! Because you've been shoving them into storehouses in your brain for a number of years and now they are starting to ooze out!!! That's why!
My advice on CHUNKS - you learn to live with them. As the piece is half drying, you can roll them right off with your finger and flick them into outerspace and they're gone - just like that!

Mom! For some odd reason that technique reminds me of the special way that my kids like to get rid of their boogies. Did they learn that from you?!

One day a couple months ago, I was working simultaneously on my scrapbook, decorating picture frames for my Bible study girls, making jewelry for my mom and sister, and making a card for my cousin's wedding. I told Ked I need a "craft intervention" and vowed to strip my hobbies down to scrapbooking only.

We'll see how long that lasts. At the library last night I checked out a book on baby room decor projects. . ..

Forgot to mention; I was also hemming maternity pants at the same time as everything else. . . but that's not so much of a craft project, right?

Rachel- I didn't know you were so multi-talented! Are you knitting all your baby things?!?! Wasn't that you that knitted the ultralong blanket that covered you in your room and went down the hall and covered Sangeetha in her room?!?! Ha, Ha!
