In case you didn't already know...our son was the last 6th grader in the world to own a cell phone. I exaggerate a bit. He knew he was getting one in March when our contract is up. He actually had a countdown going that he checked off. So, when he opened up his phone on Christmas there was some major shock.
Lord...is it true? Am I dreaming?
We suggested he call his phone to check it out and he said, "You mean it ACTUALLY WORKS??" It was the shock. It took him awhile to come out of it. But when he finally did, he had a very nice conversation with himself.

Santa Becks Is Coming To Town!
This is the cutest little Santa I have ever seen. So...I did it. I stuck him under the tree and took a bazillion pictures of him.

Noah Is Excited About Christmas.
Noah has been a busy little guy. He's been making presents for everyone and wrapping them and putting them under the tree. He has it all planned out where I will sit when I open his present. I will sit on the middle cushion of the couch and he will sit on the right side cushion because when I open his present I'm going to want to hug him right away and that way I won't have to get up, he'll already be right beside me. That's very careful planning. He also asked me today if he should rearrange his bedroom furniture in order to make room for all his new Christmas presents. I told him that was REALLY not necessary.

Out Of The Mouths Of Babes.
Noah: Remember how big your belly was when you had Lily in there?
Me: Yeah, it was pretty big, wasn't it?
Noah: If Mary had a belly like yours....can you imagine how tired that donkey was by the time he got to Bethlehem?
Me: I'm sure he was pretty tired.

We had Lily's preschool parent/teacher conference today. Her teacher said that Lily is like "sunshine in a bottle". Yep. I'd agree with that.

Bedtime Prayers.
Noah: God, thank you so much for turkey vultures. They eat all the dead and rotten animals so that no one has to go and pick them up and throw them in the garbage. Amen.
(opens his eyes and looks at me)
Can you believe that? My librarian said they even eat the bones! Man, that must REALLY hurt their teeth!
*I ask you...which is more hilarious? His prayer? Or the fact he thinks a bird has teeth?*

Math Problems With Dad.
Noah and Joe were doing math problems the other morning. This is what I overheard...
"Emily was trying to decide what outfit to wear. The first outfit was 17 layers. The second outfit was 22 layers. How many layers is that in all?"

Jesus Would Appreciate A Good "Cha-Cha-Cha".
I went to pick up Lily from preschool yesterday and my mom was standing there giving me a 'look'. Uh-oh.
"What did she do?"
Apparently, they've been practicing their songs for their Christmas program that's coming up in a few weeks. One of the songs they sing is 'Happy Birthday to Jesus'. This is how my daughter has been singing the song in class...
"Happy Birthday to you....CHA-CHA-CHA!
Happy Birthday to you....CHA-CHA-CHA!
Happy Birthday to Jesus,
Happy Birthday to you....CHA-CHA-CHA!"
(The bold print indicates solo-singing by Lily Margaret.) So, at the Christmas program I will either be mortified or laughing my butt off. I haven't decided yet. My husband is going the laugh-your-butt off route.
