Pumpkin Fun!

Perseus And Medusa.

Jackson's class put on some greek myths for parents and other kids. Jackson was in the skit of Perseus and Medusa (he played Perseus) Here he is in his toga, his mirrored shield, his helmet of invisibility and his golden sword. And that would be Medusa's head he's holding up there. The kids were to write and adapt their plays using everyday language. Hilarious! At one point Danae (Perseus' mother) slapped the king in the face and said, "I'm way out of your league, boy!" It was quite entertaining, to say the least! They all did a great job!

Scary Ducks.

Yesterday, we decided to take a walk around the duck pond while we were waiting for Jackson to get out of after-school band. All the ducks decided to follow behind us and check out what we were doing. I THOUGHT everyone was enjoying themselves, but halfway around the pond Lily starts squeezing my hand. I noticed she kept looking behind us, but just thought she was watching the ducks. I leaned down and asked her what was wrong. Her bottom lip started quivering and she said in a terrified whisper (so the ducks couldn't hear) "Mom, we have to run...run fast to the van!! They're gonna git me!!" I think I finally convinced her that they were just playing 'follow the leader', but she could be possibly scarred for life.

I'm Sick To My Stomach.

I got out my big tote of scrapbook papers and reached in to grab some and my hand came back out damp. Um...what's going on??? I start pulling out papers and they're all soggy and REALLY smelly. (You know how paper just absorbs odors...) Down in the bottom I find my kitchen dishrag which I remember going missing about 2 days ago. I pull it out and go in search of my sweet 3 year old.
"Did you put this dishrag in Mommy's papers?"
"Yes."
"Why did you do that???"
"Nothing!"
And she bolted as fast as her little legs could take her.
The End.

Preschool Field Trip.

Who's more excited about riding the school bus? Mrs. Grandma?
Or Lily? It's a toss-up!

I think riding the bus may have been the highlight of her trip! Tonight, in her bedtime prayers she prayed that her "brothers would get a chance ride a school bus tomorrow". It was a BIG DEAL!

Birthday Boys!

Some wild birthday singing...
Some cardboard box riding...

Some inflatable sword fighting...(I really think I should win an award with this photo. Notice I captured the exact moment he got boinked in the face and his glasses came flying off!)
Some Lemme leopard cuddling...
Some pirate- attacking....(thanks to Uncle Joe)...
Some quality cousin time...
Priceless!

Quote Of The Day. (Have you noticed it's usually Noah??

We were walking through Von Maur (please don't ask why we were in THAT store...) and Noah was intrigued with the guy that was playing the piano.
"Mom, can I please take piano lessons?"
"Well, that would be really cool, but we don't have a piano."
"What we need is someone in our family that knows how to play the piano that could teach me. Does anyone in our family know how to play the piano?"
"Emily does."
"Oh, MAN! I'm going to be really mad if I have to go all the way to Texas just for piano lessons!"

Foo-Foo's.

Noah's homework tonight was to read an updated version of "Little Bunny Foo-Foo". EVERY time he said the word foo-foo, which was at least 2-3 times a page, Lily yelled out, "FOO-FOO's! Ewww! GROSS! P.U.!!!" If you weren't convinced she has older brothers...you are now.
